Skills Maintenance Day #3

13 October, 2019 at 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Skills Maintenance Days

2019-20 season

Each SM Day will be capped at a maximum of 50 participants per day, so you need to register!

All members wishing to participate in Skills Maintenance (SM) Days will need to nominate the SM Day they wish to attend and then register through the club lifesaving office.

WHY? Clubbies tend to leave their skills maintenance to the last moment and we simply do not have enough trainers and assessors to adequately and safely handle any more than 50 participants at each day.

HOW DO I REGISTER? Email: [email protected] requesting a date from the list below to do your skills maintenance. Alternatively, during business hours you can call 07 5443 1323 or come into the office and book a date from the above list through Lauren or Chelsea – lifesaving admin staff.

WHAT ABOUT THE THEORY PAPER?  Please read the step by step guide attachment and then access the Skills Maintenance information and questions here at https://members.sls.com.au/

***Please also read the memo attached from Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ)***

ALL members are required to complete a practical demonstration of applying a tourniquet in order to have their awards made proficient. Here is the link to watch the instructional video for correct application: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8v7lypsulq1jc63/Bleeding%20Control%20Kit%20v1.mp4?dl=0
