2020 MURPHY HOMES MAROOCHY CLASSIC
AUSTRALIA DAY LONG WEEKEND 25 & 26 JANUARY 2020
The 2020 Murphy Homes Maroochy Classic Carnival will be the event’s 9th successful year, thanks to a great partnership between Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club and Murphy Homes.
Held on the Australia Day longweekend, Maroochydore beach will be packed with over 500 competitors competing at the Murphy Homes Maroochy Carnival all day on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January 2020.
Each year the event attracts an impressive line-up of competing Ironmen and Ironwomen athletes, including Shannon Eckstein, Matt Poole, Matt Bevilacqua, Harriett Brown, Courtney Handcock, and Maddy Dunn.
Maroochydore SLSC competitors this year at the Murphy Homes Maroochy Classic will include eighteen year old Tiarnee Massie, nineteen year old Matt Palmer, and his brother sixteen year old Adam Palmeer, who last year won the U17 Ironman in Wollongong at 15 years of age.
Each year the event promises to be bigger and better with a prize pool of over $35,000 on offer.
It is the biggest carnival run by the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club and has the largest prize money for a single event and attracts some of the biggest names in the sport.
